We first started working with Cairns Cool Air all the way back in in 2010 when we designed their first website version. This new Cairns website design represents their third website version in this time and was required due to a change in business direction. With their previous Cairns website design version being produced by us in 2016, it was becoming important for a redesign because 10 years, in website life expectancy, is becoming terminal.

This is not due to their previous 10 year old website being poorly made, it's just that the technology we use to develop our Cairns website design products has shifted significantly. One area of Cairns website design that has changed a lot since we designed their last Cairns website design version 10 years ago is mobile responsive integration.

What was less important 10 years ago has now become the most important today, with more website views on mobile devices over traditional desktop and laptop devices being the new normal today. While their previous Cairns website design version we produced 10 years ago was still mobile responsive, the coding we use to develop a website in this responsive nature has evolved significantly.

The other major change in Cairns website design technology that has become important is development of website assets that also suit the Ultra High Definition (UHD) displays that are becoming more common today. These 4K displays use double the pixel volume of standard HD displays at 3,840 pixels wide as opposed to the 1,920 pixel wide displays of the older technology screens. Developing a website for UHD screen resolutions has become a standard, at least across our Cairns website design products. (We're still not so sure why other agencies refuse to design their websites around UHD displays, maybe this is because they don't have any UHD templates to work with. But keep doing what you're doing!)

We would normally recommend that a business redesign their website every 3 years or so, just to keep up with these changes in the technology that drives our business forwards. 10 years is a long time and is testament to the strengths of our custom coded Cairns website design projects. Show us a basic templated website product such as a Shopify, Webflow or WordPress website that is over 10 years old and is still functioning and we'd be surprised as these simple website technologies are often susceptible to malicious attacks when they are brand new, let alone when they've aged a decade.
